A "color fish finder" is released.

We completed a color fish finder featuring an easy-to-see 11-inch color cathode ray tube, abundant electronic memory, accumulated technologies from our work with zoom type fish finders, and a host of new technologies. The beltless system was designed without mechanical structures to eliminate time loss and enable the high-speed emission of sound waves. The system provided three times as much information, at three times higher resolution, compared to our conventional products from the same decade.
