As a joint venture with RAYTHEON company in the US, "New Japan Radio Co., Ltd." is founded.

We entered negotiations with the RAYTHEON company in the US on a microwave tube technology partnership with shared capital. Under the agreement, Saitama Japan Radio Co., Ltd. was renamed the New Japan Radio Co., Ltd. in March 1961. After entering a partnership with RAYTHEON, we started a joint venture with capital of ¥327,272,500 (JRC = 67%, RAYTHEON = 33%) to begin the domestic production of magnetrons for the Japan Defense Agency.
