To incorporate careful consideration of environmental issues into design reviews of all newly designed products and research and development topics to reduce the environmental impact of our products. 100% achieved



Design of environmental conscious product in 2004

In 2004, design reviews were carried out as specified by the company on all newly designed products and any necessary measures taken with respect to these products to address environmental issues.

Examples of products of environmental conscious product are shown below.

Product name : Marine radar

Features of environmental conscious product design :

  • Compact/light-weight design: ratio of volume and weight are reduced to about 50 percent and 40 percent respectively of the earlier model (JMA-608T), helping to save resources
  • Ease of recycling, maintenance and disassembly

Description of product :

  • High resolution radar for rivers
  • Complies with the European river specification (ETSI_EN302)
  • Bar chart display of rudder angle and rotation ratio information
  • Receiving and displaying AIS information (option)
Product name : NAVTEX receiver
Model name : NCR-333

Features of environmental conscious product design :
  • Resource saving: LCD indicator for paperless use, and miniaturization (volume ratio is reduced by about 30% compared to earlier model)
  • Ease of recycling, maintenance and disassembly

Description of product :

  • Fitting on vessels as required under the SOLAS treaty
  • NAVTEX information broadcast all over the world (navigation and weather warnings) automatically received and displayed
